Description

Parque da Devesa is a recent urban green space located next to the city center of Vila Nova de Famalicão. With its 27 hectares, the park is a place for contact with nature, contributing to the respect for biodiversity. The river Pelhe, which crosses the park in its entirety, contributes to its biodiversity, for which the respective riparian gallery, the lake, the centenary oaks, the sequoias and other large trees also compete, as well as the granite boulders. All these different habitats allow the presence of a large number of bird species. Of the most frequent stand out Common Kingfisher, Little Grebe, Pallid Swift, Great Cormorant, European Serin, Long-tailed Tit, Blackcap and Grey Wagtail.
