This is an area of wetland in Weymouth, close to the town centre.
Radipole is an interesting wetland reserve that is readily accessible (unless paths are flooded), with a variety of residents and migrants. Cetti's Warbler can be reliably expected and usually seen, with patience. The adjacent car park is known as a gull roost and fequently includes unusual gulls. The reedbeds are home to Bearded Tit, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler and Common Kingfisher.
The reserve can by reached by car or by foot from the town centre, beach or railway station. Car parking is next to the visitor centre. The postcode is DT4 7TZ. The reserve itself is accessed by foot along laid paths, some of which may flood.
The visitor centre is open 7 days a week from 9.30am - 5pm, (closes at 4pm throughout November - January), but the reserve itself is always open. There's a self-service cafe serving hot and cold drinks and a range of snacks.
