Description

Traeth Glaslyn (hide) is the main reserve, north of Ffestiniog Light Railway and A497 road. Smaller reserve south of Morfa Bychan golf course. Winter and autumn brings divers, waders, Common Scoter flock, Whooper Swan, Short-eared Owl. Red-breasted Merganser and Little Gull get blown inshore after storms. High tide best views, otherwise telescope essential. Take care when walking in tidal areas. Some areas are completely covered at high tide and are slippery at low tide, boots are best. Access

Park at small layby near Toll house eastern end of causeway. Other car parks as marked on the map. A trip on the FFestiniog Light Railway gives an overview of the area.
