Description

Loddon Nature Reserve entails a lake with surrounding trees, familiar to anyone who has visited nearby Dinton Pastures. A path circles the lake and connects with a route to Dinton Pastures along the Loddon river, making the area perfect for birding.

On the lake expect to see Mute Swan, Tufted Duck, Northern Shoveler and Greylag Goose. In the shallows look out for Mandarin Duck and Eurasian Moorhen. This is also a good site for seeing woodland birds including Great Spotted Woodpecker, Eurasian Treecreeper and Eurasian Jay.
