Ham Wall is a wetland teeming with wildlife - from rare species like otters to birds like Great Bittern and Common Kingfisher. Enjoy views across the marshes to Glastonbury Tor or follow secluded paths. .Flat 'levels' with lakes and nice comfortable hides
RSPB car park free to members. There is a pay and display oppersite for the nature reserve. £3 per car for all day.
In winter thousands of Common Starling arrive to roost in the reedbeds at dusk often performing spectacular murmurations. During spring The ‘boom’ of the male Great Bittern can be heard echoing across the reserve and flying females bringing food to their young. Swallows, swifts, Sand Martin and Eurasian Hobby arrive from Africa - up to 30 Eurasian Hobby may be seen in the air at one time.
