Reservoir constructed 1970's. Includes a nature reserve and at south end, further reserve at Carvers Rocks.
Foremark Reservoir is recommended for young families. Car park £5 per day. Walks up to 11 km (see online). Winter wildfowl, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler, Reed Bunting, wood and heath birds at Carvers Rocks. Bluebells in spring, heather in autumn, wildflower meadows.
From Derby take A38 southbound, at A38/A50 junction take minor road towards Willington/Repton/Ticknall. Click on the P in the map to get directions to a parking. The circular route indicated on the map is about 8 km long.
