Doune Ponds is a useful beginners' site with picnic area and hides. Osprey, Sparrowhawk, Common Snipe, Mallard, Mandarin Duck, Eurasian Treecreeper, Willow Warbler, Common Chiffchaff, Grey Heron and White-throated Dipper to be seen.
Doune is near Dunblane, 30 miles north of Glasgow, and is on a regular bus route. Click on the P in the map for directions.
