Fantastic, open wetand and grassy hills leading down to the sea. Perfect for waders, waterfowl, gulls and terns etc.
Easily walkable, fantastic views (though can be windy due to it being very flat and squished between hills) and one of the first stop-offs for migrating birds coming from the continent. 174 species recorded (as on eBird).
Best way to get there is from Eastbourne or Seaford by car or grab the 12/12A Coaster Bus from either of these towns.
From Exceat, it's clearly sign-posted and their is a public footpath that takes you along the Cuckmere River towards the sea.
