Description

Vali Recep Yazıcıoğlu Barajı is a big artificial lake directly to the east of Denizli. Many water birds are attracted to the area. Among the birds you can see on and around the reservoir are White Stork, Little Grebe, Little Egret, European Golden Plover, Grey Plover, Ruddy Turnstone, Northern Lapwing, Spur-winged Lapwing, Common Ringed Plover, Little Ringed Plover, Garganey, Eurasian Wigeon, Red-crested Pochard, Tufted Duck, Ferruginous Duck and Greater Flamingo.
