This island is very well placed for migrant birds and is definitely worth to be checked if you pass by!
This is a great place for migrant waterbirds and other lake birds! A lot of rare birds visit this island each year and there is always something interesting to see! Most rarities turn up in April, May, September or October.
Wintering waterfowl including Red-throated Diver, Red-necked Grebe, other Grebes, several species of Duck, including Long-tailed Duck. Migrating waders in spring and autumn, including Eurasian Oystercatcher, Black-winged Stilt, Avocet, Spotted Redshank, Kentish Plover, Grey Plover, Ruddy Turnstone, Bar-tailed Godwit and many more. Also Little Gull, Spotted Crake, Black Tern, White-winged Tern and Whiskered Tern and raptors and passerines pass over this spot.
There is a parking not far from it and you can reach the spot easily by foot!
