A medium-sized orchard with a large variety of species. Eurasian Wryneck and Cirl Bunting breed here. During migration you can expect to see many birds of prey.

Description

Mülimatt Obstgarten is not a very large area, but very rich in species. Sometimes there are up to two Eurasian Wryneck singing here. It also has several Common Redstart breeding pairs and two European Stonechat pairs. In addition, Cirl Bunting, Greater Whitethroat and Whinchat can be observed regularly. The migration of birds of prey is quite strong in both spring and autumn, and European Honey-buzzard and Black Stork sometimes pass through here. Golden Oriole can be heard singing in the nearby forest.

Walk from the village of Biel Benken, the area is easily accessible on foot. You can take bus line 60 to Biel Benken.
