Lanca Degli Stornazzi is a small port surrounded by forested banks and cityparks. During the spring and autumn migration interesting bird species can sometimes be observed. Among the birds you can encounter are water birds like Mute Swan, Common Pochard, Tufted Duck, Little Grebe, Great Crested Grebe and Common Snipe, but in the trees and parks also birds like Golden Oriole, Pied Flycatcher, Spotted Flycatcher, Great Spotted Woodpecker and Eurasian Green Woodpecker.
