Gheid Olten runs along a restored river, with many breeding opportunities for waterfowl such as Mallard, Grey Heron and Great Crested Grebe. Mandarin Duck can also be spotted at this location. Red Kite and Eurasian Kestrel and many other species of birds circle in the air.
Gheid Olten is located between the towns of Olten and Wangen bei Olten near a small airfield. Part of the path is only accessible to pedestrians. In some places you can also ride a bike. There is no parking space for cars directly near the path. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 2,5 km.
