The village of Eglisau is surrounded by many different landscapes and habitats. From rocks and hills to vineyards, open fields, forests and the river Rhine. Through the many hiking trails in the area you can discover the richness of birds in the area. Among the birds you can encounter are Eagle Owl, Little Ringed Plover, Jack Snipe, Willow Tit, Tawny Owl, Water Rail, Red-crested Pochard, Common Cuckoo, Eurasian Goshawk, Reed Bunting and Yellowhammer.
Eglisau is easy to reach by car and public transport. The area is best explored on foot or by bicycle.
