Description

Vombs ängar are wide and flat moist meadows, with two towers to observe the area. The whole site is restricted, all year, so the route has to be along the surrounding roads. In the winter big flocks of geese gather and up to nine species can be seen, with gems like Pink-footed Goose , Red-breasted Goose and more rarely Lesser White-fronted Goose.

The meadows are also an area for migrating, resting and wintering pipits such as Water Pipit. A tip is to look along the ditches that cross the meadows (mainly the one between the towers). The area is also good for raptors, in migration but also wintering such as Golden Eagle and White-tailed Eagle. Other rare but occasional spieces are Great Snipe and Spotted Crake.
