A bog and marsh reserve of 102 hectare with clear waters in the south of the island of Gotland. Good area for spotting birds of prey.
In Muskmyr nature reserve birds of prey are often seen. Even rare ones like Red-footed Falcon in spring and summer. There is a bird observation tower from where you can search the sky above the horizon for White-tailed Eagle and Golden Eagle. Western Marsh Harrier nest in the bog and Eurasian Hobby are often seen catching dragonflies over the reeds. Along the hiking trail that leads around the bog there are many beautiful and special plants including a wide variety of orchids. Among the other birds you can see are Common Rosefinch, Red Kite, European Golden Plover, Hen Harrier, Common Crane, Whinchat, Northern Wheatear and Eurasian Curlew.
About 1 km north of Sundre church, east of the road. Parking next to the road. The area has a bird tower overlooking the area and a hiking trail.
