Description
The previously overgrown area Långsjön - Ålbäck has been restored so that in the spring there are large open water areas which in the summer become more and more grassland except for the dug canals. Långsjön has also been restored to function as a playground for fish that migrate up in spring. When the large reed belt was reduced, the bird fauna has changed so that several species of ducks are found in the area. For example Mallard, Common Teal, Gadwall, Northern Shoveler and Tufted Duck. And birds such as Eurasian Coot, Little Grebe, Slavonian Grebe and Whooper Swan. Breeding waders in the area are Northern Lapwing, Common Snipe and Little Ringed Plover. Resting waders include Wood Sandpiper, Common Greenshank and Ruff.

The area has a good parking lot near the bird tower with a functionally adapted road. Click on the P in the map for directions. A hike around the lake via the trail of Sörmlandsleden (see the star on the map) can also pay off well.
