Description

South of Glommersträsk there is a bird tower at Västra Träsket where you can see many different kinds of seabirds, waders and other birds especially in the spring. This western wetland is a dammed marsh that houses most species. The eastern swamp is also worth to check out and houses smaller species.

Access

Go east from Arvidsjaur towards Skellefteå and drive into Glommersträsk. In the middle of the village you see the western marsh on the right side and there is a sign by the way down to the observarion tower. The bird tower by the western marsh is also accessible by wheelchair. If you are going to the eastern marsh, you park best at the ice rink in the middle of the village and walk.
