Description
Punta de Sa Pedrera is an easily accessed area of rocky coastline with excellent views of the area. Blue Rock Thrush can be seen in the scrub around the top of the cliffs below which Peregrine Falcon breeds. Thekla's Lark can also bee seen in the area.
During migration large numbers of hirundines and swifts can pass overhead and the occasional wader can drop onto the shoreline. It's also worth checking the area for passerine migrants such as Whinchat and Common Redstart. Offshore Yellow-legged Gull and Audouin's Gull are easily seen and when there is sufficient wind both Scopoli's Shearwater and Balearic Shearwater can be seen in San Antonio bay. European Shag is also present in good numbers.
