Description
From the picturesque Puerto de Carril, you can see the nearby Isla de Cortegada. Birds like Sandwich Tern and seagulls often rest on the wooden stakes from the dock. It is not uncommon to see Great Black-backed Gull and Lesser Black-backed Gull. The most frequent are Yellow-legged Gull and Black-headed Gull. You can also see Kittiwake and Mediterranean Gull. Also Northern Gannet. The frequency of European Shag and Alcidae like Common Guillemot, Razorbill or shearwaters makes the place a special place. The terrestrial birdlife is much less interesting, although it does add species to the watch list.

Desde el muelle, sobre las estacas de madera, suelen descansar aves como Sandwich Tern y gaviotas. No es raro ver Great Black-backed Gull y Lesser Black-backed Gull. The best time is sunrise. I have always gone in summer, and even so, warm clothes are recommended for that time. A jacket is enough.
