The Natural Park of Posets-Maladeta is one of the most representative areas of the Pyrenees mountains. Many spectacular birds can be seen.
Adventuring into the Pyrenees mountains in the northeastern corner of Spain gives the traveler many great opportunities for birding. The sloping and dramatic topography of the region means that many species are endemic to the area – here in the Pyrenees and here alone. One of the great areas is the Natural Park of Posets-Maladeta. Among the birds you can see here are: Wallcreeper, Bearded Vulture, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Golden Eagle, Citril Finch, Barn Owl, Crested Tit, Eurasian Bullfinch, Red-billed Chough, White-winged Snowfinch, Eurasian Nuthatch, Water Pipit, Red-backed Shrike and Griffon Vulture.
It is possible reach the park by car or bus (bus availables just in summer season) following the road to Benasque. Parking free available. Walking, trekking and climbing. Mountainbiking too.
