Description

The Pico del Inglés lookout point is located on the peaks of the Anaga mountain range, surrounded by a thriving laurel forest. On a clear day you have a panoramic view over the entire north and middle of the island of Tenerife. From the rock formations of Roques de Anaga all the way to Santa Cruz. In the distance you can see the peak of the Teide volcano. Pico del Inglés is a nice spot for watching birds of prey and with a bit of luck you can see Bolle's Pigeon and Laurel Pigeon flying by. Also very nice to see Plain Swift when they skim just past the lookout point.

Access

From the city of San Christobál de La Laguna you drive up the road to the Las Mercedes mountain. Note: this is one of the most popular lookout points on the island of Tenerife and it can be very busy. So be there early to avoid the crowds. A good idea anyway because early morning you have the best chances to see laurel pigeons. Pico del Inglés only has a small parking, so if you are there during peak hours it can be difficult to find a parking spot. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking.
