Description
O Cobo is an area of mixed and alternate habitat between Taboadela and San Cibrao das Viñas, in Ourense. It stands out for its abundance of birds, especially passerines. The area has a large breeding population of Sardinian Warbler and birds such as Eurasian Kestrel, Wood Lark, Cirl Bunting, Corn Bunting, Eurasian Hoopoe, Eurasian Green Woodpecker (Iberian), Iberian Chiffchaff, Mistle Thrush, European Turtle Dove, European Stonechat, Greater Whitethroat, Golden Oriole, Eurasian Bullfinch, Crested Tit, Eurasian Nuthatch, European Honey-buzzard and Red-rumped Swallow.
In winter Meadow Pipit, Common Chaffinch, Redwing, Common Chiffchaff, Eurasian Siskin abound. There are also rarer birds such as Fieldfare, Water Pipit, Brambling, Red Kite.
In the migration season, especially in the autumn, species such as Whinchat, Spotted Flycatcher, Pied Flycatcher, Tree Pipit, Common Nightingale, Greater Whitethroat and Garden Warbler appear. In addition, Stock Dove, Eurasian Wryneck, Eurasian Goshawk and Eurasian Hobby are also seen from time to time. More rare are observations of Iberian Grey Shrike, Woodchat Shrike, Red-backed Shrike, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Tawny Pipit or Griffon Vulture.

Espagnol: Zona de mosaico de hábitats, alternando robledal con prados, olivar, vegetación arbustiva. Es una zona de hábitat mixto y alterno comprendida entre los concellos de Taboadela y San Cibrao das Viñas, en Ourense.
Destaca por su abundancia de aves, especialmente passeriformes. Access
It can be easily reached by car, being only 1.2 km from exit 217 of the A-52 motorway, from where a secondary road takes you to O Cobo. Once there, you can drive along the small and not very crowded road that runs through it. Or you can go on foot/by bicycle. To explore the area it is advisable to also walk along the paths and "canellas" that start from the road. You can park your car in one of the dirt sidings next to the road.

Espagnol: Se puede llegar fácilmente en coche, estando a tan solo 1.2 km de la salida 217 de la autovía A-52, desde donde una carretera secundaria te lleva hasta O Cobo. Una vez allí se puede transitar en coche por la pequeña y poco concurrida carretera que lo recorre o a pie/en bicicleta por la misma, aunque para prospectar mejor la zona es recomendable pasear también por los caminos y "canellas" que parten de la carretera. Puede aparcarse el coche en alguno de los apartaderos de tierra junto a la carretera.
