Description
Molino del Comendador is an old mill, one of the many along the Guadiana river. This birding area is a backwater of the Guadiana before joining the river Bullaque, forming islets, with arboreal and marsh vegetation. Among the birds you can encounter in the area are Red-legged Partridge, Little Grebe, European Turtle Dove, Great Spotted Cuckoo, Common Cuckoo, Water Rail, Little Bittern, Purple Heron, Little Egret, Black-crowned Night Heron, Little Bittern, Eurasian Black Vulture, Booted Eagle, Eurasian Hoopoe, Common Kingfisher, European Bee-eater, Eurasian Wryneck, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Iberian Magpie, Great Reed Warbler, Savi's Warbler, Common Nightingale, Pied Flycatcher and Cirl Bunting.
