Description
Marismas de Alday have several pools of different sizes that serve as a refuge for migratory birds that rest in the Santander Bay area. Despite being a place surrounded by roads and shopping centers, it is possible to see rare species, which can range from Little Gull to Black-crowned Night Heron, or Northern Lapwing and Ruff passing through. In addition, it is a breeding area for Black-winged Stilt.

Espagnol: Se trata de una zona de marismas del suroeste de la Bahía de Santander, que pese a encontrarse en un lugar sumamente antropizado alberga numerosas especies. Las marismas cuentan con varias charcas de diverso tamaño que sirven de refugio a las aves migratorias que descansan en el área de la Bahía de Santander. Pese a ser un lugar rodeado por carreteras y centros comerciales, es posible ver especies poco habituales, que pueden ir desde Little Gull hasta Black-crowned Night Heron, pasando por las Northern Lapwing y los Ruff. Además, es una zona de cría de la Black-winged Stilt.

Access
Access is very easy, as it has a large parking lot next to it, the one belonging to the "Valle Real" shopping center. Click on the P in the map for directions. Some of the roads are paved. The entire surface is flat.
