Sierra de Cañete la Real is a very interesting area to observe raptors.
This small mountain range that rises behind the village of Cañete la Real has a maximum height of 998 meters. It's cliffs host many birds and is a good area to spot birds of prey. Among the birds you can see here are Eagle Owl, Griffon Vulture, Bonelli's Eagle, Golden Eagle, Egyptian Vulture, Spectacled Warbler, Common Cuckoo, Peregrine Falcon and Alpine Swift.

Espagnol: Sierra de Cañete la Real lugar muy interesante para la observación de rapaces. Estas cortadas calizas se elevan tras la silueta de nuestro pueblo. Con una altura máxima de 998 metros, su paredes acogen a multitud de especies animales: buitres leonados, búhos reales, águilas ratoneras, grajillas, cernícalos, cabras montesas, etc., por lo que es un espacio de notable interés para cualquier observador naturalista.
It has good road access, so you can observe many birds from the road and make different stops. There is also a vulture feeding station (marked on the map with a star). You can also make a nice circular hike around the area and that is the route you see on the map below. It is about 10 km long. Not a very difficult hike, but it's rocky and you bridge about 400 meters in height difference. The walk will take you about 3.5 hours, depending of course on your pace and how many stops you make to watch birds. Take enough water with you.

Espagnol: Tiene buenos accesos por carretera. También hay una estación de alimentación de buitres (marcada en el mapa con una estrella). También puede hacer una caminata circular alrededor del área y esa es la ruta que ve en el mapa a continuación. Tiene unos 10 km de largo. No es una caminata muy difícil, pero tienes un puente de unos 400 metros de diferencia de altura. La caminata te llevará alrededor de 3.5 horas, dependiendo por supuesto de tu ritmo y de cuántas paradas hagas para observar aves. Lleva suficiente agua contigo.
