Description

Cabo San Adrián is a coastal cape with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Sisargas Islands, which are just a mile offshore. The cape is home to the Ermita de San Adrián, a chapel built in the 16th century. The Camiño dos Faros coastal hiking route, passes through Cabo San Adrián.

Birds you can see above sea and around Cabo San Adrián include Northern Gannet, Peregrine Falcon, Red-billed Chough, Eurasian Oystercatcher, Whimbrel, Arctic Skua, Pomarine Skua, Great Skua, Razorbill and Sandwich Tern. On the green slopes of Cabo San Adrián you can observe Dartford Warbler, Eurasian Skylark and Cirl Bunting.

The Sisargas Islands are a small uninhabited archipelago and nature reserve a mile offshore. They are made up of the islands of Grande, Chica and Malante as well as several islets. Kittiwake and European Shag can be seen on the cliffs.

Access

Cabo San Adrián is located northwest of the town of Malpica de Bergantiños. You can park at the Ermita de San Adrián. Press P on the map for directions. From there you can make a beautiful walk along the cliffs. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 2,5 km, but it is easy to make it longer.
