Former quarry that was transformed into a nature reserve.
Rifle Range Nature Park was originally the deepest quarry in Singapore. In 1998 the quarry ceased operations and was transformed into a freshwater habitat. In 2022 Rifle Range Nature Park was opened. With over 7 km of boardwalks, a bird hide, viewpoints and trails that meander through 66 hectares of forest and wetlands, Rifle Range Nature Park offers great birding.
Rifle Range Nature Park is located along Rifle Range Road and Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Entrance is free and the park is open from 7am to 7pm. You can enter the park via 6 entrances found along Rifle Range Road, Upper Bukit Timah Road, Hindhede Drive, Jalan Kampong Chantek and the Rail Corridor. Rifle Range. There is a big parking along Rifle Range Road. Press P on the map for directions.
Public Transport: the park is accessible from Exit A of Beauty World MRT station by going to Beauty World Centre via an overhead bridge. It is also accessible with bus services 41, 52, 61, 77, 157, 174, 184, 852, 961, 970, and 985.
The park has 7 km of trails. The circular walk indicated in the map is about 3,5 km. There is a 700m long barrier-free route between the Visitor Pavilion and Quarry Wetland for wheelchair users. There are restrooms at the Visitor Pavilion.
