Description
Check the trees by the orthodox church in the main town square in Kikinda. The world record 734 Long-eared Owl were counted here in December 2009, in the trees lining the Srpskih Dobrovoljaca Square, particularly behind and around the Church of St Nikola. Other species include Syrian Woodpecker, possibly a Short-eared Owl too and Little Owl. And just outside the town Hen Harrier and Great Grey Shrike.
The best season is from mid-November to mid-January, the colder – the better.
