Description
Kompenzacioni bazen (compensation pool) has more than 220 species recorded by a single local birder, Ivan Medenica.
Locally common birds include Water Pipit, Crested Lark, Greater Whitethroat and European Stonechat. Followed by frequent Levant Sparrowhawk, Barred Warbler, Eastern Olivaceous Warbler, Golden Oriole, European Turtle Dove, Corn Crake, Eurasian Nightjar and Jack Snipe.
Local rarities include mouth-watering birds such as Dalmatian Pelican, Slavonian Grebe, Asian Desert Warbler, Moustached Warbler and Calandra Lark.
