Description
Pustnicu Forest is a big forest bordering the river Pasărea, a tributary of the river Danube. In the areas bordering the water, Cernica and Pustnicu, you can observe birds like Great Crested Grebe, White-winged Tern, Eurasian Coot and Ferruginous Duck. In the forested parts you can see birds like Great Spotted Woodpecker, Middle Spotted Woodpecker, Eurasian Green Woodpecker, Great Tit, Eurasian Jay and Eurasian Nuthatch.

Pustnicu Forest is located 12 km northeast of Bucharest. Easy access by car on paved road. Click on the P in the map for directions. From the parking you can explore the area by bike or on foot. The circular route indicated on the map is about 5 km.
