Description

The wetlands around Pardilhó are a lagoon landscape called haff delta. You can watch water birds, visit by boat small islands and their fauna and flora. Some observation points can be hard to access whithout a boat.

Among the birds you can see in this area Greater Flamingo, Eurasian Spoonbill, Purple Heron, Black-winged Stilt, Kentish Plover, Common Ringed Plover, Common Shelduck, Northern Shoveler, Eurasian Wigeon, Great Cormorant, Little Grebe, Sandwich Tern and Ruddy Shelduck.

Pardilhó is a village with car and caravan parking. Easy to visit by bicycle. Travel distance by car from Oporto airport 40m. From Pardilhó to the Atlantic Ocean: 10m by car, 30m by bicycle. 20m to Aveiro city (district capital).

Its named also as baixo vouga lagunar. Vouga is the principal river that flows into ria de aveiro and referes to the wild landscape of the lagoon and their ecosystem full of biodiversity.
