Description

Surrounded by the city of Almada, the Parque da Paz has 60 hectares of extensive lawns, grassy areas, forests and paths and an artificial lake. 114 species of trees, shrubs and herbaceous flora can be found in the Peace Park. It's a great area for easy birdwatching and observing birds like Eurasian Hoopoe, Booted Eagle, Ring-billed Gull, Common Kingfisher, Common Sandpiper, Little Egret, Cattle Egret, Red-rumped Swallow, Grey Wagtail, Blackcap, Sardinian Warbler, Firecrest, Common Waxbill, Black Redstart, Cetti's Warbler, Crested Tit, Coal Tit, Crested Myna and European Goldfinch.
