Description
There is a colony of Black-headed Gull here, where Common Tern, Black-necked Grebe, Red-necked Grebe, Common Pochard and Gadwall also nest. In this area, you can also find rarer species, such as Ferruginous Duck and Red-crested Pochard. With a bit of luck, there is a good chance of meeting Little Bittern and Whiskered Tern. From the second half of April to mid-May and in July, you can come across a mass migration of thousands of individuals of Little Gull. Deep in Lake Dąbie, during migration and in winter, it is easy to see flocks of thousands of Tufted Duck. You can observe the birds from land - from the bicycle path running along the embankment along the lake. It is forbidden to sail onto islands with bird colonies.

The best way to visit the area is to drive to Lubczyna and park your car near the beach. You can also get there by water (Marina Lubczyna). From there, walk or cycle along the cycle path that runs along the embankment towards the northern part of the lake. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot.
