Description

You can explore the entire Veines peninsula and also the platform over the sea where several bird species can be observed, including Black Guillemot, Great Cormorant, European Shag, Common Tern, Arctic Tern and gulls. Some shore birds as Common Ringed Plover or Purple Sandpiper can be observed all summer, and Eurasian Oystercatcher may nest on the beach during summer there. Inland you can spot European Golden Plover, Ruff, Short-eared Owl, White-tailed Eagle and Rough-legged Buzzard.

Water birds as Common Eider and Red-breasted Merganser and also a diversity of small birds as Bluethroat, Snow Bunting, Greenfinch, Willow Tit, Common Redpoll and White Wagtail contribute to the very interesting diversity. In fact all parts of the peninsula are good for birding.
