Plantage Willem III is a beautiful open area located on the Utrechtse heuvelrug. The landscape here is un-Dutch and offers beautiful views. There is an attractive variety of open grasslands, heathland and woodland. This also makes it attractive to various bird species that like these habitat types. For example Red-backed Shrike, Mistle Thrush, Common Redstart and European Stonechat can be found here.
