Description

The Medenertilsterpolder holds many meadow birds, in particular Black-tailed Godwit and Common Redshank. The area has about seventy five breeding pairs per hunderd hectare. Besides these two, the area accomodates differend wader species and species such as Northern Shoveler and Common Teal.

Nederlands: De Medenertilsterpolder is een klein en relatief onbekend gebied met een verrassend grote concentratie weidevogels. Vele steltlopers, vooral Black-tailed Godwit en Common Redshank. Hier broeden zo'n vijfenzeventig paartjes per honderd hectare. Verder herbergt dit weidevogelgebied andere steltlopers en kritische soorten als de Northern Shoveler en de Common Teal.
