From the path that runs along Marickenland you have a good overview over the area and the wetter parts where a wide variety of birds reside. During the spring and autumn migration you can find many birds, such as Avocet, Common Redshank, Black-tailed Godwit, Ruff, Wood Sandpiper, Little Ringed Plover, Black-winged Stilt, Common Tern, Mediterranean Gull and Garganey.

Nederlands: Marickenland is een uniek natuurgebied dat in ontwikkeling is. De weidegrond wordt omgevormd tot rietland, nat schraalland en bloemrijk grasland. Vanaf het pad kun je kijken naar de plas waar een breed scala aan vogels zitten. Tijdens de voor- en najaarstrek kun je heel veel vogels aantreffen, zoals Kluut, Tureluur, Grutto, Kemphaan, Bosruiter, Kleine Plevier, Steltkluut, Visdief, Zwartkopmeeuw en Zomertaling.

Parking is possible at the cemetery. From there you can walk up the Robert Moultonpad.
