Description
This walk runs along the Pieterbuurdermaar and starts at a small grove, with a chance of seeing Brambling, Great Cormorant, Icterine Warbler and Long-eared Owl. Species of tits and finches, and Common Wood Pigeon, Blackbird and Great Spotted Woodpecker are always present. Various types of seagulls can be seen at the Seal Center (Zeehondencentrum). Just outside the village, next to the waterfront you can observe Sedge Warbler and Reed Warbler. Common Tern and Common Buzzard often fly over, with Common Quail, Eurasian Oystercatcher and Western Yellow Wagtail often in the meadows.

Nederlands: De wandeling Buitengebied Pieterburen loopt langs de Pieterbuurdermaar en begint bij een kleine bosschage, met kans op Brambling, Great Cormorant, Icterine Warbler en Long-eared Owl. Soorten mezen en vinken zijn net als de Common Wood Pigeon, Blackbird en Great Spotted Woodpecker altijd aanwezig. Bij het Zeehondencentrum zijn er verschillende soorten meeuwen te zien.
