The Oesling plateau with its pastures and forests, as well as the small wetlands and small stream valleys is one of the most charming landscapes of Luxembourg.
You will have good chances of spotting Black Stork and the more commoner Red Kite. Both species breed in the adjacent forests and come to the river valleys or grassland areas to hunt: small fish for the Stork and mice for the Kites. Scan the sky for other raptors and the meadows for Northern Lapwing and other migratory birds.
The area is best explored by foot. You may find a place for parking your car in Wincrange or simply take the train to Clervaux and the bus to Wincrange. The walking trail you see on the map is about 4,5 km.
