Description
La Rocque Fields and Coastal Beach in the southeast of Jersey has kilometers of coastal beach and marshy reedbeds and scrub and grazing fields with hedges and trees and dunes and shingle plus muddy rocky beach pools. Among the birds you can see here are Brent Goose, Common Shelduck, Velvet Scoter, Common Teal, Tufted Duck, Greater Scaup, Common Eider, Northern Lapwing, Grey Plover, Eurasian Oystercatcher, Black-winged Stilt, Common Swift, Common Cuckoo, Black-necked Grebe, Red-breasted Merganser, Goosander, Common Goldeneye, Common Scoter, Common Teal, Eurasian Wigeon, Northern Shoveler, Garganey, Cattle Egret, Little Egret, Great Egret, Grey Heron, Great Bittern, European Shag, Northern Gannet, Balearic Shearwater, Manx Shearwater, Sooty Shearwater, Northern Fulmar, European Storm Petrel, Great Northern Diver, Black-throated Diver and Red-throated Diver.
