Description
The Stagni di Marceddì and Corru S'Ittiri form part of a Natura 2000 protected area. These lagoons are a mosaic of brackish and freshwater habitats, shaped by natural inlets, sandbars, and artificial dikes. The shallow lagoons attract waders, gulls, and ducks. Birds you can observe include Black-winged Stilt, Common Teal, Common Shelduck, Grey Plover, Common Ringed Plover, Eurasian Curlew, Common Sandpiper, Common Redshank, Wood Sandpiper, Common Greenshank, Ruddy Turnstone, Ruff, Little Stint, Tawny Pipit, European Stonechat, Little Egret, and Slender-billed Gull.
