Description

The beach of Spiaggia di Spina and the adjacent river mouth of Foce Logonovo attract waders and gulls outside the summer season. From autumn to spring (October-April) a walk along this beach can offer a close-up view of Sanderling, Dunlin, but also Kentish Plover and Grey Plover, and sometimes even Ruddy Turnstone. Among the gulls, Black-headed Gull and Yellow-legged Gull are always present and you can also observe Sandwich Tern and Great Cormorant. In the dune area, European Goldfinch is frequent and also European Robin.

Italiano: Una spiaggia regolarmente frequentata (fuori dalla stagione estiva) da diverse specie di limicoli e gabbiani. Dall'autunno a primavera (Ottobre-Aprile) una camminata lungo questa spiaggia può offrire la vista, anche ravvicinata, di Sanderling, Dunlin ma anche Kentish Plover e Grey Plover talvolta anche il Ruddy Turnstone. Tra i Gabbiani, sempre presenti Black-headed Gull e Yellow-legged Gull e si possono osservare anche Sandwich Tern e Great Cormorant. Nella zona dunale, è frequente European Goldfinch ed anche il European Robin.

Access

Spiaggia di Spina and Foce Logonovo are located on the Adriatic coast directly south of the town of Porto Garibali. There are ample free parking spaces near the beach resorts where you can leave your car. Press P on the map for directions to a parking. Access to the beach is only possible on foot.
