Description
Parco dell'Oasi Vallona is a small park. The Tergola river flows along the park and crosses many cultivated lands. You can observe mostly common birds such as Common Wood Pigeon, Eurasian Collared Dove, Common Starling, Mallard, Common Buzzard, Eurasian Jay, Hooded Crow, Carrion Crow and Magpie. In the river itself it is easy to spot species such as Eurasian Coot, Eurasian Moorhen or Grey Wagtail and White Wagtail, sometimes even some Pygmy Cormorant. Along the entire route and in the trees, there are birds such as Great Tit, Eurasian Blue Tit, Long-tailed Tit, Blackbird, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Eurasian Green Woodpecker, Wren, European Robin, Common Chaffinch or European Serin. During migration sometimes Osprey is spotted.

The route along the river is easily accessible from Via Roma: from here you can choose whether to follow the west side, from which it is possible to access the circular route of the Oasi Vallona, or whether to follow the east side, accessible via a dirt road. The river route is also accessible from the north-west, at the intersection of the canal and the river itself.
