Description
The road between Mavria and Platania is a great road to stop and drive along, and to observe many local breeding species, like Olive-tree Warbler, Eastern Orphean Warbler and Subalpine Warbler. The small houses and farms a worth a check for Little Owl, and the scattered trees are perfect for Wood Lark. The scrubs and bushes are great for many species of shrike, like Woodchat Shrike and Masked Shrike. The rocky outcrops are great for Western Rock Nuthatch and Cretzschmar's Bunting.
During migration, the area is worth to check for species like European Roller, European Bee-eater and Golden Oriole. Raptors are always present, and tend to hang around the hill tops, like Long-legged Buzzard.

Access
There's a road present, which you can stop and drive along between Platania and Mavria. Park your car carefully along the road, and check the area with binoculars.
