Description
The Ockstädter Kirschenberg is one of the most important areas for the Common Redstart (be careful not to confuse it with the Black Redstart). The Common Redstart is represented here with over 50 territories and is considered to be endangered in Hesse. Other birds you can see in this area are Eurasian Wryneck, Sparrowhawk, Short-toed Treecreeper, European Turtle Dove, Red-backed Shrike and Little Owl.

Parking lot for the Usa-Wellenbad (swimming pool) in Bad Nauheim or in the village of Ockstadt. Bus line FB32 to the bus stop "Friedberg (Hessen) - Ockstadt Am Kirschenberg". There are many roads and paths running through the area. On the map you see an example of a circular trail of 4 km.
