Description
Leisepark was the former St. Marien-St. Nicolai cemetery. It was transformed into a wild, overgrown park. But also its former use as a cemetery was preserved. For example, parts of graves as well as individual intact graves have been left here. You can also visit the two adjacent cemeteries. The park is particularly busy during the day. It's best to come early. Among the birds you can see are Hooded Crow, Long-tailed Tit, Firecrest, Eurasian Green Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Blackbird, Eurasian Goshawk, Short-toed Treecreeper, Common Wood Pigeon, Carrion Crow, Eurasian Blue Tit and Great Tit.
