Description
Kiesteiche Nordstemmen Nord is a complex of gravel pits west of Rössing. Breedings birds include Cetti's Warbler and Great Reed Warbler. More important from October to February for wintering waterbirds. Gulls and Greylag Goose roost in July and August. Birds you can observe in the area include Greater White-fronted Goose, Taiga Bean Goose, Gadwall, Mallard, Common Teal, Tufted Duck, Goosander, Red-breasted Merganser, Little Grebe, Great Crested Grebe, Eurasian Coot, Reed Bunting, Black-headed Gull, Common Gull, Yellow-legged Gull, European Herring Gull, and Caspian Gull.

The Kiesteiche Nordstemmen Nord are located west of the town of Rössing and north of the town of Nordstemmen. You can park along the road near the sports field. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. From there you can explore the area on foot or by bike.
