A nature reserve for the Great Bustard population in Brandenburg.
The Havelländisches Luch consists of a mosaic of moist grasslands. These are interspersed with wasteland and hedgerows. An area of 200 hectares is inundated in winter and spring. The Havelländisches Luch is a good place to observe the Brandenburg population of the Great Bustard. The area is one of three areas in Germany where the Great Bustard occurs. The reserve itself is off limits, but you can oversee the area from two observation towers.
The area is located northeast of the village of Garlitz, 50 km west of Berlin. From the village of Garlitz you can drive up to the observation towers.
