Among the birds you can observe are Eurasian Kestrel, Common Buzzard, Eurasian Goshawk, Sparrowhawk, Black Woodpecker, Eurasian Green Woodpecker, Red-backed Shrike, Blackcap, European Goldfinch and Garden Warbler.

Flugplatz Esslingen is located 3 km northeast of the town of Esslingen. You can park at the Dulkhäusle restaurant. Click on the P in the map for directions. From the parking you can explore the area on foot or by bike.
